I was involved with a Research Experience for Teachers this year with the UCF Physics department and Center for Microgravity Research. We flew on a Zero-G research flight and now we're analyzing data. The experiment, Strata-2P, is part of a series of experiments designed to understand the properties of Lunar Regolith in microgravity and lunar gravity environments. Also, floating is super fun. I was also selected for a National Endowment for the Humanities workshop this summer called Space Age on the Space Coast - I'll be out at Kennedy Space Center at the end of July learning with teachers from all disciplines how to teach science and history in new ways.I received the Young Alumni Achievement award from my college, Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019. I was Magnet Schools of America Region 3 Teacher of the Year in 2017.I'm also now a board member for the Student Astronaut Challenge competition - we bring middle and high school students together for a 3-day STEM competition at Kennedy Space Center every year. They participate in five spaceflight related challenges as a team of six. https://studentastronautchallenge.com/
