October 2015 updates for Ms. Whitworth

Published: October 29, 2015

Ms. Whitworth writes:

I was asked to speak to the physics students at Sewanee on our 2013-14 project on BRC-38. Dr. Peterson said the students asked the most questions of me than at any other presentation they have held. I presented the process we pursued in our project and presented a few examples of the targets we worked through. They really responded to the visual and graphic presentation of the data that we built for each target and connected that to the classifications we made. I encouraged them to explore other areas with BRCs for potential projects for their own research. About 20 students and faculty attended the talk at Sewanee.

A NITARP pause: we are not expecting to be able to support a NITARP 2026 class as a result of the current funding uncertainty. We hope to resume in 2027.
