ClusterBusters

About

This NITARP alumni team is investigating the ages of some young clusters.

Abstract

The YSOVAR project surveyed 12 young clusters in the mid-IR, looking for variability. In order to understand the evolution of variability properties, the clusters need to be placed in a relative age order. The YSOVAR team did this by looking at relative fractions of YSO SED classes (based on IR properties) in the 12 young clusters. Recently, Pan-STARRS optical data have been released, and are now available for all of these clusters. This team is investigating whether the relative age ordering of these clusters based on optical data is the same as those from the SED classes.
