My EXMASS team won the competition this year and so we are off to the conference in Maryland this summer. Perhaps there is a chance we will do an oral presentation instead of a poster presentation. My students were 7th, 8th,10th graders. I had a very competent 11th grader as a student mentor since it was his second year in the program. We felt good about our work. The students, despite their age difference and the fact that it is a high school research program, felt very accomplished and definitely worked as a team. If the team hadn't been so cohesive it would have been a different experience. The students are homeschoolers. Thanks to the parents for their diligence in their children's education. Parents make a difference.
Here are our poster, abstract, and news release.
