Student Alumnus publishes paper

Published: February 2, 2017

Matt Walentosky, one of the first students to work with us (under the Spitzer Space Telescope Research Program for Teachers and Students) is in graduate school in astronomy and physics, and has just published a journal article. Way to go Matt! His teacher from "back in the day" is Tim Spuck, and he writes:

I was thrilled to see his work published in ApJ. This is an outcome of the Spitzer Space Telescope Research Program for Teachers and Students, and NITARP and you folks who made it all possible. Matt will be the first to tell you he would have never even thought of entering the field, or even known it was a possibility, without this experience.  Thanks so very much for all that each of you do to inspire the next generation!!

The 2025 NITARP application is now available! Go here for the instructions. Applications are due by 3pm Pacific time, Friday Sep 13, 2024. (NOTE: contingent on availability of funds and AAS travel!)
